Description
Funding: Research leading to this book was funded by a European Research Council Starting Grant (under the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme/ERC grant agreement no. 336564) for the project 'Visual Representations of the Third Plague Pandemic' (Principal Investigator Christos Lynteris) and research funding from Cambridge Humanities Research Grants for the projects 'Visual Empires' and 'Epistemic and Material Transformations of the Counter-Epidemic Mask' (Principal Investigator Christos Lynteris). Research leading to chapter 4 of the book was also funded by the Wellcome Trust with a Wellcome Investigator Award (217988/Z/19/Z) for the project 'The Global War against the Rat and the Epistemic Emergence of Zoonosis' (Principal Investigator Christos Lynteris).
