dc.description.abstract | The thesis is divided into two sections. In PART I the theory of discrimant analysis is presented in a standard manner. Particular attention is paid to those aspects of the subject which also have relevance to-the allocation of pairs. PART II mainly concerns the author's work on the theory of the assignment of paired observations. It is concluded by an example which illustrates the advantages of allocation by the discriminator developed. | en |
