dc.description.abstract | Following the statement by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs on 22 July 2010 stating that Government wants "to mainstream sustainability, strengthen the Government's performance in this area and put processes in place to join-up activity across Government much more effectively", the Sustainable Development Commission’s funding has been withdrawn by the Department of the Environment, Food & Rural Affairs effective from 31 March 2011. This Guide was a response to that announcement to help Governments – current and future – will the challenge of mainstreaming sustainable development. | en_US |
