The Sustainable Development Commission (SDC), which closed on 31 March 2011, was the UK Government's independent adviser on sustainable development. The SDC held Government to account to ensure the needs of society, the economy and the environment were properly balanced in the decisions it made and the way it ran itself. Our collection of publications includes consultant reports, consultation responses, case studies and articles.
