Researchers associated with the ICC pursue a great variety of issues related to management in the Creative Industries. These industries vary greatly, in terms of the degree of permanence of the creative endeavour, access to finance, the degree of standardisation of the product, the nature of employment relationships and experiences in the labour market, etc.

They are, however, united by a common theme. Their origin and their output lie in the individual and collective creativity, skill and activities of those involved in the enterprise. While other industries use creativity to add to a tangible product or a service, for the creative industries, creativity is the product or service.
