The School's mission is to promote world class teaching and research across a broad spectrum of Geography & Geosciences. The School of Geography & Geosciences conducts international-calibre, agenda-setting research spanning both social and physical environments, focused mainly within its two research groups, the Environmental Change Research Group and the Population, Health & Welfare Research Group. The School was awarded a grade 4 in the 2001 RAE
